The Uncle Milton Solar Racers Set is a great toy which children can share and play with outside. It uses real solar cells to convert sunlight into speed and does not work with internal light sources. However the Solar Powered Helicopter Kit really showcases the powerful use of solar cells for it can be powered with even a desk lamp. These are all wonderful teaching aides for children to educate them on clean energy and are all available for under $25.
If you have a little more money to spend you can look at the Hydrocar. This little toy highlights the power and possibilities of clean energy technology. By simply adding water to the tanks, oygen and hydrogen are produced and stored with the reversible Polymer Electrolyte Membrane and used to fuel the car. This toy is not suited for young children and is actually a great toy for an adult.
